Well, I'm taking a semester off, and will be spending my time in New York City! I'm pretty excited, despite the fact that I'll be sharing a bedroom wtih my little sisters, and bouncing between Queens (where my friend Jackie lives), Flatiron (where my sister lives) and the Upper West Side (where my parents live). I've pretty much developed a nomadic lifestyle, so this is gonna be fun

I will be writing, hopefully interning, and probably working at a cafe with one of my friends. But mainly, I want to focus on writing and art. I've been filling up a sketchbook, and got an easel for christmas! I've been working on a painting of Aslan that I did for my younger sister for christmas, and then will work on a Van Gogh reproduction for the other sister.

Other than that - my mom has a canon rebel, so I will also be able to take lots of cool shots. My own camera is a kodak, and its poor quality has sapped a lot of my energy to photograph. I did add one more picture - I took it over fall break, when I was visiting my family in New York.

So I'm here for one more week - soaking up the Texas sunshine and heat - then it's off to the big city. I'm so excited!
